Simply twist the plug to remove it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"600\" height=\"453\" src=\"http:\/\/www.roverdiesel.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/05\/Servicing005.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-145\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.roverdiesel.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/05\/Servicing005.jpg 600w, https:\/\/www.roverdiesel.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/05\/Servicing005-300x227.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">As you can see this is overdue its oil change but considering the amount of miles I do &#8211; lots of motorway miles, 15k miles is about 6 months for me at the moment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"600\" height=\"795\" src=\"http:\/\/www.roverdiesel.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/05\/Servicing007.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-147\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.roverdiesel.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/05\/Servicing007.jpg 600w, https:\/\/www.roverdiesel.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/05\/Servicing007-226x300.jpg 226w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">You can see the oil drain plug arrowed here. It has an aluminium washer on it which in theory needs changing, however I never have changed it yet and it hasn&#8217;t leaked.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"600\" height=\"453\" src=\"http:\/\/www.roverdiesel.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/05\/Servicing009.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-149\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.roverdiesel.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/05\/Servicing009.jpg 600w, https:\/\/www.roverdiesel.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/05\/Servicing009-300x227.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Careful with the oil as it is hot and comes out pretty quickly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"600\" height=\"679\" src=\"http:\/\/www.roverdiesel.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/05\/Servicing016.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-98\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.roverdiesel.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/05\/Servicing016.jpg 600w, https:\/\/www.roverdiesel.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/05\/Servicing016-265x300.jpg 265w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Undo the oil filter with a removal tool (there are different types but this one is a chain type). I couldn&#8217;t manage to take a photo of me removing it as I didn&#8217;t have enough hands!<br>Note that some more oil will come out when you remove it. Note both a mileage and a date.
