rover 220sdi tuning lead help

Post by rovermad »

Hey I have a rover 220 sdi and have just fitted a tuning lead so that I can turn up the fuel. But if I turn it above 3/4 of the way the car go's like s**t of a shovel, but as soon as I go past half throttle the car juders or cuts out like I was running out of fuel. Is this normal? Can I stop this in any way as go's well until I hit half throttle so it should go even better if I can give it full throttel

It sounds like fuel starvation.

I'd try changing the fuel filter and checking the fuel lines aren't blocked.

The extra fuel requested is showing up a fuel supply fault I think.

I'm not sure on the other tuning leads but the old TU1 can be turned up fully without issue (other than an unstable idle speed).

I do have to turn it right up to get a lumpy ideal but then if I give it some it will splutter like its running out of fuel so I will try changinging the fillter and see wat happens.
