Non-IC -> IC box conversion

Just wondered, if a conversion could be made between the non-intercooled box to an intercooled box.

If memory serves me right the difference is a single bearing (I assume shafts are same thickness?). Would it be possible to actually strip the box and fit said part?

Just wondering as I have two boxes, one of each type and would ease the strain of my current upgrades, if I could rebuild the non-ic box over time.

Alternatively I could just temporarily fit the non-IC box, but I wouldn't trust it too much unless it was strengthened anyway.

Intercooled box has a thicker shaft than the non intercooled box so although some of the parts will be interchangable, some won't.
