That is true ;) I'll have to find a ignition wire in the engine bay than instead ;)

The easiest ignition wire in the engine bay is from the EGR solenoid (brown/orange) ;) Fitted my pump last Friday but i have some problems with it. :( After some time the fuel is returning back to the tank and I have to crank longer :x The pump needs over 15sec longer, after the glow plugs light switches off, to restore the right fuel pressure, then I have no starting problems :x So resuming I have to wait 30sec to be able to start normal :? I' fitted a aftermarket returning valve but with no success :( The valve is working because I have tested it before installing.

Have you also this problem with the long waiting period ?

Hi there,

Sorry for the delay I've been away on holiday.

I've not had any problems with long cranking, (well not due to fuel anyway!).

The fuel draining back to the tank is the reason that the priming bulb has two non-return valves inside it. This allows the primer bulb to work and prevents fuel draining back to the tank.

Have you installed the non return valve before or after the fuel pump? I'd try installing it before the fuel pump if you are having problems with fuel draining back to the tank.

I'll see if I can get a picture of my setup but it looks a bit of a mess at the moment!

The non returning valve is before the pump of course mounted ;) I'm now waiting 15sec. after the glow plug light turns off and the I have no problem with cranking. But if I start the engine after a few hours right after the glow plug light turns off I have to crank longer.

Maybe I should install the priming bulb before the pump back :D
