Remapping the ECU

The 25/45/ZR/ZS also use a fully electronically controlled fuel injection pump (VP30). However this pump has a chip which is rewritable without removing it, i.e. you can change the data (map) on the ECU without removing the chip. Because this is easier than the earlier models it is usually recommended to have this done quite early on in the chain of power adding mods. Indeed without any mods a remapped 25 usually can make 130-140bhp.
